Volunteer in Ghana prorgam has been the backbone of the services that Becky’s Foundation renders. Whether you are an individual or a group, being students, professionals, missionaries, or seniors, you can join hands with us and use your time and talent to help children and communities in need.

Several volunteers from around the world have made important contributions and have had life-changing experiences working with us on different projects. Many of them are proud to call our base their second home and, for that matter, have returned to our projects on many occasions. You too could have a role to play in one or more of our ongoing projects.You may choose to participate in projects such as Orphanage Home Work , Healthcare / Medical , Teaching , Sports For Social Change , or Special Needs

Volunteering Requirements

Able to commit at least 2 weeks
At least 18 years old on the day you start volunteering. Under-aged people either need adult accompaniment or must provide us with a letter of parental consent
Open-minded, willing to learn and adjust to fit into different cultures and work in a less resourceful environment
Clean background check, less than 1 year old
Medical Volunteers or interns; In addition to the general requirements must provide a copy of a medical degree, or transcripts, or license together with a resume

Program Participation fees

Becky’s Foundation loves its volunteers and appreciates all the selfless work they do supporting its activities. The organization just can’t wait till the day when it’s able to absorb all the cost involved in hosting volunteers. For now, all participating volunteers are required to contribute a reasonable amount of money to help cover the cost of things, such as:

Comprehensive pre-departure and in-country support
Transportation: Pick-up from Accra (Kotoka International Airport), transport to the project site, Senya-Beraku
Detailed orientation
Authentic local meals 3x daily
Purified drinking water
Clean accommodation with utilities included
Some contribution into the project(s)
Certificate upon completion of program
Reference letter upon request
Debriefing/send-off gathering
Transportation: Transport from Senya and drop off in Accra (Kotoka International Airport)
24/7 pre departure and in-country support

* You are responsible for your own airfare, travel insurance, medical insurance, vaccinations, internal travel costs, as well as possible souvenirs.

How To Apply

After you have researched Becky’s Foundation and have talked extensively to us, or to our previous/current volunteers for an impartial reviews you may then:

Stage 1

Fill out the Online Application Form and receive confirmation of the submission of your application.
We will review your application and let you know your proposed placement’s availability within 48 hours.
If accepted, you are required at this stage to confirm your spot/participation by paying a deposit of US $75 as part of your program fee, and receive an email confirmation of the receipt of your payment.

Stage 2

We will then provide you with a verification letter, a comprehensive pre-departure Information booklet, and support by promptly answering to any questions or concerns you may have, preparing you for your welcoming.
Pay the remaining of the program fee online pre-departure or during your orientation in Ghana.
