Dear All,
You may have heard that a major storm has recently hit the coastline of Ghana and, hence, our community was affected also, especially Becky’s Preparatory School, where the children from our orphanage go to school. As you can see in the picture, the roof is now gone, some desks have shattered, doors have broken down, walls have collapsed, etc.
This is what one of our volunteers, Stefi, wrote about our school:
“I worked as a volunteer in this amazingly caring school where the kids love to learn and the teachers are passionate to teach and shape educated and hardworking individuals. They do their best to use the very few resources they have to guarantee the best possible learning experience for their pupils.”
We estimate the cost of restoration to be about US $8000 for the above-mentioned damages.
