Established on April 25, 2012, and based in a small coastal community of Senya-Beraku, Ghana, Beckfound has been working to improve the quality of life of some of the most vulnerable children. The foundation manages its own orphanage, school, and soccer academy. Beckfound equally supports credible local projects focusing on education, community development, healthcare, and special needs.
The work of Beckfound is carried out by a dedicated local staff and constantly assisted by a diverse group of incredible volunteers from all over the world.
Over the years, the foundation has received enormous technical support, donations, and funding from volunteers and organizations who believe in its vision and have witnessed the progress that the foundation has made improving lives.
Becky’s Foundation is determined to ensure its core values remain unchanged:
To team up with like-minded people and organizations to empower unprivileged people and communities through sustainable projects in education, health, attitudinal changes, and skill training.
To see local communities in which every individual could reach his/her full potential irrespective of their circumstances, religion, gender, or ethnicity.
Seth Asiedu, a co-founder of Becky’s Foundation, holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Education, Winneba. He is a God-fearing man and, as such, an elder of a church. Seth is happily married to Vivian, also a teacher and a co-founder of Beckfound, who has always been there for her husband, Seth, in every situation. They have been blessed with 4 lovely children (all boys). They are easy-going people who love singing, dancing, and spending time together with their family, and helping others.
In addition to being teachers in a small town, they are thereby known leaders and role models, and they have been heavily involved in matters concerning the youth and the community that they live in. With their rich experience in working with both local and international people to get things done, as well as their deep understanding about the issues at the grass-root level, you can always count on them for almost anything.
“We will not change helping children in difficult situations for anything else because, personally, we see nothing in the whole world being more fulfilling than uplifting others.”
